WHO ARE WE?
OVER 350 PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS HAVE SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED THE SONS SYSTEM
The SONS system was the brainchild of a Puerto Rican mother of four. She is Frances M. Ramos, whose primary interest was to provide students with the necessary tools to achieve the maximum of their school development.
With this in mind, she set out to unite neurologists, psychologists, therapists, school principals and teachers with the same goal: to find a way to help her children – then students – develop their executive brain functions in a simple but effective way. SONS is recommended by psychologists, therapists, teachers and education specialists.
WHAT DOES THE SYSTEM CONSIST OF?
It’s a set of color coded tools that aid in the development of the student’s organizational structure, and thus helps them improve their school performance.
¿BUT WHY THROUGH COLORS?
Because human beings can identify color quicker than text. For example, the functionality of a traffic light is based on the use of COLOR.
This is the same principle that governs the SONS system; it is based on the use of COLOR.
SONS is a simple method that includes: notebooks, folders and plastic envelopes for use from pre-school to high school and college.
HOW DOES THE SONS SYSTEM WORK?
CREATING DIRECT ASSOCIATIONS BETWEEN SUBJECTS AND COLORS
Each subjects is assigned a particular color. It is scientifically proven that thru color association, children are capable of developing skills related to being organized, better focus, enhanced memory and information processing.
ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS ARE NOT INHERITED, THEY ARE LEARNED, BUT ONCE ACQUIRED, THEY WILL LAST A LIFETIME.
SONS PROVIDES A RECOMMENDED COLOR KEY PER SCHOOL SUBJECT
The materials were specifically designed taking into consideration the recommendations of teachers, so that when the students use them on a daily basis, during school hours and homework periods, they make the process easier for them.
